Introduction

In a collision of faith and firepower, two warriors burdened by their own beliefs step onto the battlefield. Both have seen the worst of the world and carry the scars of redemption’s price, each shouldering a cross, one literal, one figurative, and each with their own take on justice.

Alexander Anderson, the Vatican’s deadly paladin and sworn protector of humanity from Hellsing.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood, the wayward preacher with a punishing cross-shaped arsenal from Trigun.

Will the holy paladin find salvation in the fall of the sinner, or does redemption lie on the other end of Wolfwood’s Cross Punisher? It’s time to witness who would win a DEATH BATTLE!

Before We Start…

Both characters will receive all feats and abilities from all forms of canon. For Anderson, this means he gets stuff from the Hellsing manga, 2001 anime, and Hellsing Ultimate anime. For Wolfwood, he gets stuff from the Trigun manga, 1998 anime, Badlands movie, and Trigun Stampede anime.

Background

Alexander Anderson

“Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. We are nothing but dust and to dust we shall return.”

Alexander Anderson may be a man of the cloth, but behind his gentle priestly demeanor lies a warrior devoted to a singular mission: eradicating evil in all its forms. A member of the Vatican's Section XIII, also known as the Iscariot Organization, Anderson stands as their most feared and powerful agent, wielding his faith as a weapon and his body as a fortress. Raised within the strict confines of the Catholic Church, Anderson was instilled with an unwavering sense of duty and a deep-seated belief in divine justice. His loyalty to the church’s cause is absolute, and his fervor for purging the world of the undead and heretical beings borders on the fanatical.

Though a devout man, Anderson’s methods are far from gentle. Equipped with an arsenal of blessed bayonets and regenerative abilities that make him nearly unstoppable, his combat prowess and merciless tactics have made him a legend among both his allies and enemies. Known to be ruthless in battle, Anderson approaches his mission with a zeal that often blurs the line between divine justice and personal vendetta, especially when confronted by vampires and other creatures he deems blasphemous.

But Anderson’s crusade takes on a particularly obsessive edge when he crosses paths with Alucard, a vampire warrior whose very existence mocks Anderson’s understanding of good and evil. To him, Alucard embodies the ultimate test of his faith—a creature that challenges the core of his beliefs, igniting a rivalry that can only end in one of their deaths. Driven by a need to prove that human faith can overcome any monstrous power, Anderson confronts Alucard repeatedly, each encounter escalating in violence and intensity. As Alexander Anderson pursues his unrelenting mission, he sees himself as a tool of divine retribution, armed with both weapon and scripture to carry out God’s will. To Anderson, there is no greater purpose than purging the world of its demons, and nothing—no enemy, no monster, and no moral compromise—will stop him from fulfilling this calling.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood

“We're nothing like God. Not only do we have limited powers, but sometimes we're driven to become the devil himself. What's your answer this time?”

Nicholas D. Wolfwood is more than a mere priest; he is a complex figure whose very existence blurs the lines between sanctity and survival in the harsh world. Equipped with the imposing cross-shaped weapon called the Punisher, Wolfwood stands as a formidable combatant whose mission extends beyond spiritual guidance to include the literal protection of the innocent. His weapon, which conceals a machine gun and a rocket launcher, represents the dual facets of his life—clergyman and protector, preacher and warrior.

Wolfwood's upbringing in an orphanage, followed by rigorous training under the militant "Eye of Michael," shaped him into a man who sees the world through a lens of pragmatism and necessary violence. His willingness to use lethal force to protect those under his care starkly contrasts with the idealistic pacifism of his comrade, Vash the Stampede. This difference often places them at philosophical odds, even as they fight towards common goals. His approach to his duties is pragmatic; he carries the burden of his violent acts as a necessary sacrifice for the greater good, which weighs heavily on his conscience. Each decision to pull the trigger is laden with moral complexity, as he struggles with the immediate needs for survival against his long-term spiritual redemption.

Wolfwood's life is a continuous battle not only against the chaos that pervades his world but also an internal struggle with his own guilt and ideals. His relationship with Vash highlights these conflicts, as debates over justice and mercy intertwine with their battles. For Wolfwood, the world is a gray expanse where faith must coexist with gunfire, and protection often comes at the cost of peace. In the end, Wolfwood's final moments are a profound reflection on his tumultuous life. In the anime, he’s fatally wounded in a confrontation with his mentor, Chapel the Evergreen. Seeking solace in a rundown church, he confronts his past actions in a poignant confession, blending his regrets with a stoic acceptance of his life's path. Meanwhile, in the Trigun Maximum manga, Wolfwood meets his end after a brutal battle to defend his orphanage, ultimately sharing a final drink with Vash the Stampede, with his death underscoring his acceptance of the violent path he chose and the duty he felt to protect others. In both versions, Wolfwood’s last act serves as a powerful testament to his journey—a man torn between his role as a protector and his duties as a priest, ultimately seeking redemption for himself and the souls he has impacted.

Experience and Skill

Alexander Anderson

While much of Anderson’s prior background is mostly unknown outside of potentially having a decade of experience being on his 40s, we know that the divine agents of Iscariot essentially serve as the strongest force that the Vatican has ever had. Being professionals at exorcism, oppressing pagans and exterminating heretics. With Anderson being stated to be a skilled warrior who specializes on the creatures of the night, serving as Iscariot’s trump card in the same way Hellsing’s own Alucard is their trump card.

And that knowledge on monsters has served him handy against his various foes, he’s led a squad of Iscariot agents against some of Millennium's own artificial vampires and won out in the end(although with some casualties). Easily defeated everyone’s favorite police girl Seras Victoria, by aiming at her neck and has gone toe-to-toe with Hellsing’s trump card, Alucard. The same vampire king with a total of 500 years of fighting experience during his time as Vlad the Impaler having fought various wars and terrorizing London as Dracula.

One of his “strategies” is to wear down and get close to unsuspecting opponents through his regeneration and crazy endurance. Sometimes even using it to pretend to be dead.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood

Being inducted into the Eye of Michael at a young age, Wolfwood was trained by Chapel to kill precisely, efficiently, and mercilessly. He’s considered the best Punisher wielder of his generation.

He and Vash defeated a gang of 60 skilled gunmen without killing anyone. He was able to track down and fight the saxophone-playing assassin Midvalley the Hornfreak while blind. He’s killed an S class cyborg in one shot and managed to overpower Livio, who destroyed an entire army with little effort.

When facing off against Gray the Ninelives, a cyborg that kept going no matter what damage he inflicted, Wolfwood began brutalizing him to overtax his healing factor. In fact, that’s Wolfwood’s standard tactic. Against Livio, a fellow Eye of Michael assassin, Wolfwood deliberately shot him full of bullets to incapacitate him. And when he realized Livio’s healing factor was better than he thought, he upped his game by coating him in ammo belts, blowing him to kingdom come, and beating the burnt Livio until his bones were a cracked mess.

Weapons and Equipment

Alexander Anderson

Holy Bayonets

As Iscariot’s numero-uno answer against unholy heretics, Anderson regularly uses bladed bayonets blessed by the church that he can summon and store around somehow (though Hirano jokes that he has 4D storage). He dual wields with utmost efficiency to effectively harm and deliver divine punishment to any unholy creature like a vampire or zombie in his way, and even slow down their regeneration (even ones as great as Alucard’s for example). Whether it be at close range or by throwing multiple of them at long distances with pinpoint accuracy (something which he loves to do a lot).

Holy Scriptures

If bayonets simply aren’t enough, Anderson has demonstrated the ability to use holy scriptures from the bible for a variety of uses. Whether it be to teleport as a means of retreat, surprise attacks or to move himself across large distances. He also can create barriers to trap his monstrous foes with him in it so that they can't escape, repel them, or even directly wrap them to halt their movements.

Mine Chain

A series of exploding bayonets that will explode upon stabbing a target. The bayonets can be thrown for a single explosive or be chained together to create massive explosions powerful enough to rain hell on Alucard's army.

Nail of Helena

Originally one of the nails used to pin Jesus Christ on the cross, it is one of several holy artifacts in custody of the Vatican stored within a case Anderson himself carries. That when stabbed into the wielder’s heart will convert into a monster of God.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood

Cross Punisher

After completing his training, Wolfwood was given the highest honor among the Eye of Michael when he was granted this weapon. The tenth of its kind, the Punisher is a cross-shaped, multifunctional firearm with each end having its own unique gun type. It can also be used as a blunt weapon, a sharp weapon or a makeshift shield, and is durable enough to hold up against three Punishers at once, including their missiles.

Rocket Launcher

Housed within the top of the Punisher is a rocket launcher. Its explosions cover a wide area and are perfect for clearing through multiple enemies.

Mini-Gun

The bottom of the Punisher can split apart to reveal a mini gun. It fires rounds at a ridiculously high rate, allowing Wolfwood to rip through monstrous cyborgs like Gray the Ninelives and easily tear through buildings.

 Laser

In Trigun Stampede, the Punisher’s secondary mouth fires lasers instead of missiles. These lasers can combine into a massive one that’s powerful enough to slice through a giant sandworm.

Ammo Belts

In the manga, the Punisher’s sides contain ammo belts that Wolfwood can use to restrain others. By igniting them with a gunshot, he can create explosions that leave his victim horribly mutilated.

Grader 2043 Pistols

Wolfwood regularly uses pistols based on the 45 acp, in the original Trigun anime he stores several of these in his Punisher.

Vials

Should he find himself backed into a corner and his healing abilities pushed to their limits, Wolfwood can rely on a small bag of vials for an extra boost. These vials contain a serum capable of healing wounds his regeneration can’t fix in time. They were used to great effect in his battles with Livio and Razlo, allowing him to heal from being riddled with bullets.

By downing two vials, he can further increase his strength and regenerative abilities, letting him push bullets out of his body as he’s being shot and quickly recover from being impaled through the shoulder. With the vials’ enhancements, a simple headbutt is able to crack skulls, break necks, and shatter spines of fellow Eye of Michael assassins.

Motorcycle

Wolfwood’s preferred method of transportation while traveling long distances. He can also use its wheels to shred people’s faces.

Skills and Abilities

Alexander Anderson

Regeneration

In order to keep up with the regenerative abilities of vampires. Anderson was experimented through biotechnological techniques, effectively making him a human regenerator and restoring his body from incredible wounds like bullets to the head or to the chest. Though it doesn’t seem to be as great as the regeneration of others like Alucard, as it couldn’t fully heal his arms normally. It also seems to make fairly resilient, given he regularly tanks gunfire without even flinching.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood

Intelligence

As a member of the Eye of Michael, Wolfwood’s been trained to study his enemies, monitoring their skills, moves, habits, and even their breathing to defeat them. Even if his opponent defeats him the first time, he’ll just use that experience to adapt and overcome them the next time around.

Unlike his contemporaries’ more straightforward tactics, Nicholas prefers to mix his adaptability with distractions to gain an edge. He’s used a rocket to psych out a group of cyborgs and made its delayed firing take out the last gunman. When fighting Livio, who was more skilled than him, Wolfwood was able to read his abilities and reactions perfectly, then distracted Livio with a close range missile to get in close and shoot him through the heart. And despite struggling against Razlo at first, as the battle dragged on he began adapting his strategies to find more openings to exploit.

Marksmanship

Thanks to Chapel’s training Wolfwood has become an expert marksman capable of pulling off shots with precision and efficiency without being seen.  He’s able to land kill shots from behind without looking, decimated an entire squad of cyborgs by hitting their vitals without killing them, and blew off each of Razlo’s limbs. And he has shown enough precision to say, shoot down 5 explosives with just a pistol and shoot a man from a window while he was holding a hostage from far away.

Regeneration

As part of his conversion into the Eye of Michael, Wolfwood’s body received modifications, including enhanced healing capabilities. This has allowed him to quickly recover from injuries like being impaled by Chapel’s Punisher, having all of his bones snapped and shooting himself in the stomach.

Other Eyes of Michael have pushed knives out of their stomachs and regenerated shortly after having giant nails removed from their bodies.

Forms

Alexander Anderson

Monster of God

After stabbing himself in the heart with the nail of Helena, the nail itself became one with him as vines wrapped around his entire being. Anderson was no longer a man, simply a monster of the god he served at the cost of his sense of self. In this state Anderson’s own capabilities grow far more than before, and he is more than capable of keeping up with and overwhelming Alucard. Even to the point of nearly killing him.

Scaling

Alexander Anderson

Alucard

Anderson has fought Alucard on several occasions, being one of the few capable of rivaling him. Al even believed Anderson was capable of killing him. Naturally, they’re comparable in stats.

Walter C. Dornez

Seeing how he’s on an even level with Alucard, it would make sense for Anderson to scale above the Hellsing family’s butler, as both can contend with Al physically.

Misc. Vampires

Being a vampire hunter who’s repeatedly gone the distance against the king of vampires himself, it’s natural that Anderson would scale above these lesser vampires that Alucard would be physically above.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood

Vash the Stampede (Check Before the Verdict)

In their adventures together, Wolfwood has shown to be comparable to Vash in speed as shown during the various times they work together, (1, 2, 3) Wolfwood has even physically harmed and saved him on a few occasions. Wolfwood’s Punisher is also able to harm characters that can tank Angel Arms from Vash or his brother Knives. So as far as we're concerned, while he may not physically scale to the Angel Arms or the full extent of his Plant powers, he should certainly be able to harm Vash tier characters with his guns and be comparable to Vash’s bullets in speed.

Legato Bluesummers

While the only fight between Wolfwood and Legato was brief, it gives us significant implications regarding his weapons, since they were able to visibly harm Legato. This is important because it left him in a visibly worse condition than in the scene calculated below, where Legato remained entirely unscathed. While there is no evidence Wolfwood remotely compares to Legato in stats, the Punisher should have equal or superior AP to Legato's durability.

Gung-Ho-Guns

Wolfwood has battled several members of the Gung-Ho Guns and killed, brutalized, or kept up with them in combat. Scaling to them seems like a no-brainer. Though in the case of Elendira it does not seem as much at first, as she is directly stated to be the strongest member. However, Livio whom Wolfwood previously fought has adapted to her attacks and kept up with her in battle. With the fight eventually resulting in Elendira needing to remove her restraints and Livio adapting to the point of killing her. So it stands to reason that to some extent, Wolfwood should be comparable to Elendira.

Weaknesses

Alexander Anderson

While Anderson may be a terrifying foe, he certainly isn’t invincible. First off, his regeneration normally can’t restore other parts of his body like his limbs or hands, as it couldn’t fully heal those types of wounds from special equipment like Alucard’s jackal and Tubalcain’s special playing cards, which can slow down regeneration. And he can also similarly be reckless, his devotion to his mission can sometimes make him over rely on this same regeneration and let himself be hit.

The Monster of God also comes with a huge glaring weak point at the cost of its immense capabilities, that big glowing nail stuck on his heart. Should a foe move past or overpower his vines and destroy his heart. He will instantly die and the effects of both his regeneration and immortality will cease to be, returning and fading to dust.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood

Wolfwood might be a skilled assassin, but he’s far from perfect. His regeneration, while decently strong, can't cover everything. Other Eyes of Michael have been incapacitated (albeit briefly) with enough shots to the head, and were left nearly dead from having their skulls crushed, only surviving due to sheer luck. Legato has even said that while the Eyes of Michael are hard to kill, they can’t come back from decapitation.

Despite the vials boosting his strength and regeneration, overusing them will cause his body to slowly give out, starting with massive blood loss and culminating in his heart rupturing.

Before the Verdicts

Trigun gun scaling

So uh… guns in Trigun are really funny from a VS perspective, especially Wolfwood’s Punisher. You see, Wolfwood rarely contends with characters physically and relies on his weapons to fight back, and his guns have consistently damaged some pretty powerful people. Rai-Dei, Legato, and Knives are all characters that’re tough enough to survive shots from the Angel Arm, yet Wolfwood’s guns can harm or even shoot them dead. If that wasn’t crazy enough, the Punisher also technically survived Knives’ Angel Arm, despite it vaporizing mountains and leaving a massive crater in the planet.

All this is to say that Trigun’s guns are pretty potent… from a VS perspective. Realistically speaking, Rai-Dei, Legato, and Knives are probably just not meant to be portrayed as bulletproof. Unfortunately for Anderson though, he isn’t bulletproof either. So there’s two ways we can look at this. Either Anderson isn’t bulletproof and the Punisher shoots him just fine, or we apply VS logic and say that a bullet needs to be relative to Anderson’s durability in order to shoot him, and the Punisher shoots through him anyway because it consistently harms characters with higher durability than Anderson.

Hellsing Calcs

You might have noticed two feats in the Alucard section have big gaps between low and high ends, particularly the blood ocean feat. We're gonna explain in short why that is.

In the case of the mist creation feat, the point of divergence between the ends lies on what “Dover” the manga would be referring to. Dover is both the name of a small town and an entire district in England. Obviously, this means the difference in area between these options is large, as evident between the ratio between the ends of the feat. Ultimately, it's a matter of interpretation, so you can choose what to believe based on your personal standards.

Second, we have the infamous blood ocean. Alucard telekinetically moves 3.4 million people's blood, yadda yadda, you know the story by now. Here's the kicker: It's impossible to determine the actual volume of the blood that's being moved. You can go the low end route, and say 6kg of blood per person, and then apply the anime timeframe. That gets building level. If you want to account for the blood visually being a LOT and coming from various points in London, you can say it covers a fraction of the total surface of the city. With that, the value goes to large town. Mid end? Hard to determine. While the blood seems to cover a big area in some shots, it's very shallow on others, making so any volume calc attempt is practically guesswork. Basically, this feat has too many variables for any of its ends to be the objective take on it.

Ultimately, the result of these calcs don't actually impact the verdict, so you can choose whatever end you prefer.

Vash Scaling

When it comes to raw power, there’s no way Wolfwood is physically scaling to Vash’s Angel Arm. It’s pretty obvious the Angel Arm is outputting more power than anything Wolfwood has ever seen. In the Stampede anime, Wolfwood flat out says that he can’t handle that level of power either. The only way Wolfwood can scale to the Angel Arm’s power would be through his weapons, given that they’ve harmed characters that can match Vash’s power, like Knives, or straight up kill characters that have survived the Angel Arm, like Legato.

When it comes to speed though, we believe it's fair to say that Wolfwood should scale to most of the feats that matter. Wolfwood has deflected Vash’s bullets, and characters like Rai-Dei are legit fast enough to deflect Vash’s bullets, and Wolfwood shot him dead in a quickdraw. Honestly, when it comes to speed, Vash and Knives are never portrayed as being so fast that they blitz everyone that isn’t a plant. Only their raw power is often portrayed as being above the others. While it’s probably narratively nonsensical that non-Plants can scale to Vash’s processing speed, we found that scaling to the speed of his projectiles is okay for Wolfwood.

Fanart!

Verdict

Strength

When it comes to physical strength, Anderson easily holds the edge over Wolfwood. This shouldn't be too surprising though. After all, Anderson is a swordsman while Wolfwood is a gunslinger, so it’s only natural that Anderson would be more likely to perform better strength feats, like slicing through trains. Meanwhile, most of Wolfwood’s displays of “power” come directly from his guns or Punisher. Without them, Wolfwood’s best display of physical strength would be him assisting Vash with pushing a cannon. Impressive, but Monster of God can contend with characters like Alucard, who can move 3 million people’s worth of blood throughout London. Surely that’s much heavier than pushing a cannon with assistance.

While, of course, we can use numbers to support these claims. Wolfwood’s physical AP should be at best comparable to a few explosions calced at building level, while Anderson scaling to Alucard can get anywhere from multi-city block to town level. We think it’s fair to say that Anderson would be more than capable of defeating Wolfwood with a few hits if Wolfwood isn’t careful.

Anderson takes the edge in physical strength.

Speed

Speed on the other hand is an entirely different story. While Anderson and Wolfwood can dodge bullets, the bullets Wolfwood reacts to are much faster. According to our calculations, while Alucard can catch Rip Van Winkle’s bullets, which can reach speeds of Mach 109, Wolfwood can block Vash’s bullets (and is relative to characters that can do it too), which can reach speeds of Mach 56,000, nearly 560 times faster than Rip Van Winkle. Even if we ignored px calcs all together, Vash’s bullets would still be faster. Rip Van Winkle’s bullet intercepted a jet falling at Mach 3 speeds whereas Vash’s bullets intercepted an explosion that was stated to move at Mach 37 speeds.

Wolfwood takes the edge in speed.

Weaponry

Both of these priests have gained a wide arsenal in their crusades with multiple ways to smite their enemies, but when it comes down to it, Wolfwood ultimately has an edge in versatility thanks to the Punisher’s multiple functions. Though each Trigun series gives the Punisher unique options separately, regardless of what you go with, Wolfwood has numerous ways to take Anderson on at long range. Whether he’s using missiles, lasers, a mini gun, pistols, or unleashing ammo belts for restraints, Anderson’s going to have a hard time approaching things from a long range.

But that’s not to say the Judas Priest is completely outmatched here. Comparing their modes of transportation, Anderson actually comes out on top. Aside from its teleportation letting him cover ground faster than Wolfwood’s motorcycle, Anderson’s holy scriptures have the added bonus of acting as a barrier against Wolfwood’s attacks, and he could easily use them to try and get the drop on Wolfwood. Whether or not he’d be able to land these attacks is another matter entirely. Not only has Wolfwood used it to shield from worse attacks than what Anderson’s bayonets can dish out, it’s taken explosions that would put the mine chain to shame and came out with barely any damage.

However, things take a bit of a turn when we look at their trump cards: the Nail of Helena and the vials. Once these came into play, the match would become a lot more difficult on both sides. For Wolfwood, he’d be boosting his stats and regeneration, but the Nail of Helena would let Anderson do the same thing without risk of death, on top of giving him extra powers. However, Anderson would also be giving himself some glaring weaknesses, namely reducing him to a mindless berserker and giving a pretty major weak spot.

The Monster of God form would certainly make things more difficult as its tendrils give Anderson an easier time defending from attacks and he could likely use them to strangle Wolfwood. But even in this state, Anderson’s new abilities and buffed regen would still struggle against the overwhelming firepower of Wolfwood’s arsenal. Especially when we factor in that it has harmed some real powerhouses in Trigun like Legato and Knives. Both of whom have survived blasts from the Angel arm or in Knives’s case destroyed several mountains and created a massive crater with his own angel arm, meaning Wolfwood’s attack potency with the punisher can hit with at least 16 megatons to at most 768 PETATONS OF TNT. Far above anything Anderson has ever survived. And while it might not be as good as Anderson’s equivalents, the buffs from the vials would allow Wolfwood to potentially tough it out or tear through the vines.

Wolfwood takes the edge in weaponry.

Regeneration

While Wolfwood’s regeneration can heal from stabbings, gunshots, and repair broken bones, Anderson’s is clearly superior. Not only can it heal the same type of injuries as Wolfwood’s, but Monster of God can regenerate both entire limbs and his head being blown to bits, something Wolfwood’s healing factor has no evidence for repairing.

Anderson takes the edge in regeneration.

Tactics

Now comparing them in tactics, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Wolfwood should take this category without question. Sure, Anderson is an experienced warrior and a specialist in monsters, and likely has more experience than Wolfwood. But his approach is comparatively… well– far more straightforward, either slice everything until it drops dead or use his sheer endurance and regeneration to close the gap between his foes. But Wolfwood has been trained by the Eye of Michael to study everything about his enemies during the course of a battle from their skills, to the way they move and breathe. To the point that he can adapt and strategize around his foes weaknesses even during the course of battle by keeping his distance.

In particular this approach comes at a great disadvantage to Anderson. Wolfwood has had experience shooting down similar ranged weapons to his bayonets and making mincemeat out of enemies with similar regenerative powers to the Judas Priest, like Gray the Ninelives and Livio the Double Fang. By using distractions to his favour and brutalizing and overtaxing their healing factors beyond repair(Anderson’s regeneration has even been similarly overpowered before). And when it comes to the Monster of God’s weakness, it’s very possible that he could eventually aim to target the heart given the nail itself literally glows when stabbed. Given his superior speed, tactics and firepower, Wolfwood is likely to come to this conclusion and overpower his vines. Wolfwood even has employed two similar tactics to answer this that just so happen to target the heart and chest.

Wolfwood takes the edge in tactics.

Summary

Alexander Anderson

Advantages:

  • Physically stronger

  • Superior healing factor

  • More experienced

Disadvantages:

  • Slower

  • Less versatile and tactical

  • The blessing of Anderson’s bayonets likely wouldn’t affect Wolfwood’s regeneration

  • Is outranged and overpowered by many of Wolfwood’s weapons

  • Wolfwood would likely figure out Monster of Heart’s weakness and aim at his heart

Nicholas D. Wolfwood

Advantages:

  • Faster

  • Firearms and Punisher cover more range and are more versatile than Anderson’s arsenal

  • Superior firepower

  • Punisher’s durable frame gives him extra defenses

  • Has shown himself to be more intelligent and resourceful than Anderson

  • It’s in character for Wolfwood to aim for overtaxing Anderson’s healing factor and destroying his heart

Disadvantages:

  • Physically weaker

  • Inferior healing factor

Conclusion

All things considered, this is a fairly close fight. With his superior strength and regeneration, it’s not unreasonable to believe that Anderson could land the killing blow in a few scenarios. However, thanks to Wolfwood’s superior speed, weaponry, and tactics, as well as the Punisher’s defenses and Wolfwood being able to exploit Anderson’s weaknesses, we believe that Wolfwood would pull ahead in more scenarios.

And so it came to pass that Nicholas, with his cross as both his burden and his weapon, delivered Anderson unto judgment, for vengeance is the Lord’s, but the crossfire was his. Amen.

Looks like Anderson met his match and Wolfwood really nailed it. The winner is Nicholas D. Wolfwood.

Final Tally

Anderson (1) - Kaiser (pity vote)

Wolfwood (6) - Strunton, Flip, T0m, Br3ndan5, Why am I here, Kaiser (hated calcing Hellsing feats)
